Hi, I'm Kimberley, a Product and Experience Designer with 5 years of experience, working across B2B and B2C environments including e-commerce sites, SaaS and enterprise tools.
I started out studying Psychology, driven by a deep curiosity about human behaviour. I learned how to design and analyse research, gaining a strong foundation in asking the right questions and interpreting information—skills that still shape how I work today.
The first step in my career was in to email marketing, where I managed lifecycle journeys and retention strategies. I enjoyed diving into user data, building segments, and designing targeted comms but it wasn’t long before I hit a ceiling. Marketing could shape the ‘wrapping,’ but it had little say over the actual product. I could design the most seamless journey, but if the platform users landed on didn’t meet their needs, the impact fell flat.
That realisation drew me to UX and product design. In 2020, I joined a bootcamp and with what I can only describe as blind confidence, almost
immediately started seeking freelance opportunities, while still working full-time in marketing. I worked with small businesses and individuals to improve or launch digital products across fitness, e-commerce, health and entertainment. It was a baptism by fire: I failed fast, learned faster, and became a more thoughtful, designer.
After two years freelancing, I joined Cappfinity, where I’ve spent the last three years designing across a wide product ecosystem—from B2B SaaS platforms and enterprise tools to user-facing apps and design systems. I’ve led projects end-to-end, shaped cross-functional thinking, and been trusted to build not just better interfaces, but better ways of working.
Designing for over 5 years, my roles have consistently involved senior-level responsibilities: from owning end-to-end product experiences to building design systems and leading workshops. I thrive in environments where design isn’t just visual, it’s strategic, systems-led, and tightly bound to business goals.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me doing something music-related. I’ve played guitar for years and more recently picked up the drums. While I’ll listen to almost anything, I’ve got a particular love for metal.
